Full-Time Contract – Crisis Intervention Worker
Board of Directors
Leeds and Grenville Interval House (“LGIH”) provides emergency shelter, transitional and outreach support for women and their children who have experienced abuse.
LGIH’s Board of Directors is currently looking to fill the volunteer role of General Director.
Directors are responsible for and agree to:
- Fulfill governance and stewardship role to ensure the ongoing long-term success of the organization
- Act as an ambassador of the organization and its mission in the community at large, to increase
- Have an awareness of violence against women, promote LGIH services, and build new supporters
- Support Strategic Plan goals
- Engage with key stakeholders including funders, partners, donors, and supporters
- Attend regularly scheduled board meetings on a monthly basis and come prepared to participate in discussions
- Attend events representing LGIH

• Experience in the Not for Profit or Social Services Sector
• Superior networking skills and extensive network of contacts
